Useful autonomous robots
Robots can play an important role to support us directly and indirectly in our daily lives, whether this is helping us find our way, or helping to produce our food. There are however many challenges involved in allowing robots to be useful. Firstly, they need to be able to sense the world, to recognise and understand objects and people. Secondly, they need to act in the world, to move around efficiently, and to be able do the tasks we want them to do. In this event, we will showcase the robots and related technology of the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems that are allowing us to make robots progressively more useful.
